Thank you for your interest in the Dobson Foundation’s grant program. The deadline for applications is October 1st & April 1st for meetings occurring in the following months.

In order for our nonprofit to make a decision regarding your application, you must include all information requested. All applications will be reviewed by the grant selection committee. Every effort will be made to present your application to the committee. You will be notified of our decision via direct mail (snail mail).

Attach the following appendices in the file upload space below:

  • APPENDIX A: A complete budget for the project and/or program

  • APPENDIX B: The current annual operating budget. Include in-kind services and volunteer hours contributed.

  • APPENDIX C: Financial reports including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement, year-to-date.

  • APPENDIX D: The current Board of Directors. List names, businesses, addresses and occupations of each.

  • APPENDIX E: The current audited financial report. (optional)

  • APPENDIX F: The Foundation considers grant applications only from public charities as defined under the Internal Revenue Code and applicable regulations. An applicant must have obtained a 501 (c)(3) letter prior to submitting an application and must include a copy with this application. If the applicant is not required to have obtained a 501 (c)(3) letter, it must provide a copy of an IRS letter or a legal opinion verifying that the applicant is a public charity as described in section 509(a)(1), (2), or (3).

The Mary Louise Dobson Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.  Since you receive no goods or services as a result of your donation, your gift is considered a tax-deductible gift within the limits allowed by the Internal Revenue Service.  It is always best to check with your CPA as to the effect of your donation on your personal situation.
